Long Sault Dam Positive Restraint Barrier, Massena, NY

Owner: NY Power Authority

Prime: Hohl Industrial, Inc.

Subcontractor: Seaway Marine Group, LLC

Seaway Marine Group provided tug and barge support on this project which involved drilling 30 feet into the bedrock, in 100 feet of water, to set anchors for a Dam barrier.

Given the depth of water, the extent of the drilling, and the unpredictable and strong current, we developed a four point anchoring plan with four winches set up on our barge. This allowed the barge to remain on station for drilling, grouting and diving operations.

Seaway provided USCG licensed tug and barge crew 24 hours per day for the duration of the project.
